Sunrider Singapore Manufacturing Earns AVA Silver Award for a Decade of Food Safety Excellence
During a special ceremony, Sunrider Singapore Manufacturing, Inc. received an AVA Silver Award for achieving Grade “A” status for excellence in food hygiene, sanitation, and processing for ten consecutive years, 2000–2009. A Certificate of Commendation was also awarded for achieving Grade “A” status during the two-year period of 2008–2009.
The awards were presented to Sunrider by Guest of Honor, Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of National Development, who was joined onstage by Mr. Koh Soo Keong, Board Chairman, AVA, and Ms. Tan Poh Hong, Chief Executive Officer, AVA.
Earning AVA Grade “A” License status is based on criteria such as factory cleanliness, factory housekeeping, food hygiene, employee personal hygiene, staff training, and performance record of the factory.
Receiving these awards adds further distinction to the proud record of Sunrider Singapore Manufacturing, Inc., which has invested heavily in its S$27-million (about US$18.8 million) facility. It boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including the biggest spray dry tower in Asia. Recognition from AVA is testimony to Sunrider's uncompromising commitment to manufacturing the best brand-name products under the highest standards of excellence.
